Cocos Keeling

Cocos Keeling had the best beaches since St. John, USVI! Upon leaving C0c0s Keeling we embarked on the longest leg of the Indian Ocean crossing - 10 days of grey weather, big seas, lots of wind and one gale... hand steering the entire way! There was lots of surfing down big waves too, achieving the boat speed record of 18.5 kts! (momentarily).

It never looks like it in pictures, but these waves really are huge!
